Urban Decay 'Iracebeth' Colours (Day 143)

The Iracebeth colours are some of the most vibrant in the palette. Although not quite at the level of the Mad Hatter colours, they are very colourful and are going to be some of the hardest to wear.

The first colour for this character is 'Heads Will Roll'. 'Heads Will Roll' is a turquoise/ teal kind of color that has a slight shimmer. This colour scares me a little as blue is always a very difficult colour to wear so this is going to take some practice before I get it right. 'Bandersnatch' is a matte petrol blue colour that is quite dark. I feel like this with the 'Heads Will Roll' colour would make for a really unique look. Next is 'Salazen Grum'. This colour is an almost red, shimmery colour that is definitely one of the most natural of the 'Iracebeth' colours. Finally, 'Royal Flush' is the most perfect shimmery nudish white colour. This is alot like 'Lily' from the 'Mirana' colours but is much more shimmery.

Urban Decay 'Mirana' Colours (Day 142)

The 'Mirana' colours are probably the most neutral, most wearable in day to day life and they are definitely the colours I work into my daily routine. I really love how there are more neutral colours to contrast the very vibrant colours that are also in the palette.

The first colour, 'Lily' is a very pale, white colour with a slight shimmer. It is a great colour for using as a base or using in the corners of the eye. 'Duchess' is a slightly burnt orange colour with a shimmer. Again it is a super easy colour to work into everyday and perfect for working a copper eye. 'Kingdom' is a very neutral shimmery brown. It is a colour you could work anytime, anywhere. Finally, 'Chessboard' is a matte brown that completes the collection. It is a very rich brown and the perfect everyday shade.

Urban Decay 'Mad Hatter' Colours (Day 141)

The 'Mad Hatter' colours are some of the most vibrant in the entire palate and are so true to the character of the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland. The Mad Hatter is such an eccentric, lively, colourful character in the films and these eye shadows represent him perfectly. 

The first colour, 'Hatter' is a shimmery, vibrant green. It is very in your face and just demands attention. It really is gorgeous. Honestly, I have no idea how I will ever wear this but I know I can make it work. The second colour is 'Gone Mad'. 'Gone Mad' is much darker colour than the others and would look great in a smokey eye look. It's a dark, chocolatey brown with a slight shimmer to it. The next colour, 'Paradox', goes back to the brighter side of the Mad Hatters colours. It's an incredibly glittery orange and makes for a very vibrant make up look. The final colour' Cake' is again very Mad Hatter- esque colour and it honestly looks like something he would wear. It's a very pretty, bright pink, glittery colour that is again very fun and I feel like when I work out how to wear it, it will look stunning.

I feel like I could definitely attend the Tea Party with these colours.

Urban Decay 'Alice' Colours (Day 140)

After yesterday's post about the packaging of the new Alice in Wonderland Urban Decay Palette (which you can read here) I had to follow up about the colours in the palette. There are 5 sets of colours in the palette, each named after a different Alice in Wonderland colour. I thought I'd break them up into different posts so they all get the recognition they deserve.

The Alice colours are made up of 'Looking Glass', 'Reflection, Dormouse' and 'Metamorphosis'. 'Looking Glass' is a beautiful nude, peachy pink The matte shade makes for a beautiful base when creating and eye look. Then there is 'Reflection'. Reflection is a more of a matte orange toned shadow, It's super easy to wear on a daily basis and again makes a good base colour. 'Dormouse' is perhaps one of my favourite shadows in the whole palette. It's a shimmery, natural brown colour and is perfect for dressing up or down. The final colour in the 'Alice' collection is 'Metamorphosis'. This is one of the scariest colours to wear as it is a very vibrant, very blue, very shimmery colour. I haven't found a way to wear this yet but I'm determined to use it at some point. 

I really do love this palette.

Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland Palette (Day 139)

There is nothing more exciting than when makeup does Disney! When Urban Decay announced that they were going to make their Alice In Wonderland Eyeshadow Palette available in the UK, I knew I had to get one.

Alice in Wonderland is one of my favourites and I loved the first live action film. When I heard about this palette I couldn't contain my excitement. I love the packaging of this product, it perfectly represents Alice Through the Looking Glass. The psychedelic colours and patterns on the outside make the product so beautiful and fun. 

One of my favourite things about the packaging of the product is the quotes from Alice all over the product. Firstly, the one on the mirror reads 'We're all mad here'. The one on the draw reads 'I knew who I was when I got up this morning? but I must have changed several times since then'. Then the one on the butterfly flaps reads 'I'm not strange, weird, off, nor crazy, my reality is just different from yours'. This is perhaps my favourite quote as it really fits with the colours of the eye shadows. The bright and vibrant pinks and greens make this makeup different and anyone wearing it could be deemed crazy but that's okay. Everyone is different and that is more than okay.

I think the best thing about the packaging has to be the hidden butterfly. Under the flaps is this big pop out butterfly which just adds to the ethereal nature of the product. It just seems so wrapped in fantasy and dreams, I love it. 

So that's the packaging. This post is getting really long so I thought I would do another post about the actual eye shadows.

Teapigs Selection box (Day 138)

Thinking of gifts for my Mum is tricky so part of me dreads when she has a birthday coming up. However she has been really, really into flavoured tea so I thought I would check out the Teapigs website.

I'm so glad I did as I found the perfect gift. As I wasn't sure what she would like, I didn't want to get her one of the pre- packed gift sets. So when I saw the pick n' mix sample pack I was super happy. It gives you the chance to pick 12 different teas to sample and try for £13.99.

The delivery was really fast and the packaging was great. Each tea flavour comes individually packaged with two tea bags in each. The parcel even included some free samples which I thought was a really sweet touch.

Disney Photo Album (Day 137)

I think photos and memories are one of the best gifts you can give a friend. I would much rather have a heartfelt gift than something someone has brought just because they feel like they must get you something. So when it came to my best friends birthday I wanted to do something special.

Disneyland Paris is one of the best experiences I've had in my life and I wanted a way to give her something to remember it by. I was going to make a scrapbook of some of my favourite photos from the trip as both of us said we were going to make albums of the trip but I remembered how much I hate scrapbooking! All that cutting and sticking, I hate it! That's why when I was in Paperchase looking for a nice way to present the photos I decided on a self- adhesive album. I then got some polaroid style photos printed from photobox and some images from pinterest and google and assembled the easiest scrapbook of my life.

The pages were easy enough to create. I just grouped some of my photos and put some of the images I downloaded with them. I planned my pages, peeled back the covering and stuck it all down, simple as that!

I just used a quote from pinterest on the first
page of the photo album.

I made a collage using picmonkey for the second
page.

I created a Minnie Mouse page with two of my
favourite parade photos.

I also wanted to do a Rapunzel page as she is
one of our favourite princesses.

So there are just a couple of the pages I created for the photo album. I really liked using online images next to my own photos, I think it just gives it a really cute twist.
